Schlitz used to be the most popular beer in the world. The can says, "The Beer That Made Milwaukee Famous". All these things are true. In the 70's the recipe was changed, much like Coke's was in the 80's. People wanted original Coke and they wanted original Schlitz. Both went back to the formulas that made them famous, but unlike Coke, Schlitz got zero marketing. I think everyone would drink Schlitz if they knew old school Schlitz was back.

I started drinking Schlitz a few months ago. The local Wal-Mart sells it for $4.74 / 12 pack. It's surprisingly good and is a very refreshing change from Bud Light, which tastes like bitter water to me now. People often confuse Schlitz with Schlitz Malt Liquor Bull. Schlitz is a pilsner and Schlitz Malt Liquor Bull is a malt liquor. Look at the cans and understand.

I've had a lot of good times drinking Schlitz. Many other people have also had many good times drinking Schlitz. Check out these pictures showing various levels of enjoyment.

This last picture epitomizes everything Schlitz used to stand for, and everything it still stands for today. You can't even begin to imagine what the fuck is going on at that party, but you want to be there. One thing's for sure though, No Jive Turkeys Allowed!
